Just wondering if anybody else here has seen this problem.

Up until a couple of weeks ago I was using XP Pro SP1 and recently I had to do a complete reinstall () Up until then Smartcheck (6.2 RC2) worked fine.

Now running XP Pro 2002 SP1 but Smartcheck won't give me anything now. No events at all. Even using my own VB proggies :pc3:

All options are the same as before :
All the check boxes in the Error Detection tab checked.
In Advanced, in the Error Detection tab, the first 4 checkboxes checked, the rest not checked. 'Suppress API Calls' is NOT checked.
In the Reporting tab, everything except 'Report mousemove events from OCX' checked.

Any gurus out there that might like to suggest a reason for this?

Its almost like it can't hook into it anymore ... but why?!?!

Thanks for any help in advance

Hi,

it may sound kinda dumb but did you check "Start Event reporting when starting this Program"is turned on ? else u manually have to start logging by pressing that little push button :)

Thanx for the quick reply but unfortunately yes - it is checked.

But yes - I would have felt more than a little dumb if that was the problem :)

I can only guess that for some bizarre reason my versions of MSVBVM??.DLL are incompatible now? Can you tell me what versions you are using?

Cheers anyway

Hm,
no i dont think its kinda "Incompatible" Version of VB :) Well if you open some VB Program (any should do) go again to the SETTINGS and choose "Files to check" Tab. This will only appear when a program is already lloaded....make sure all files are checke dhere, or at least msvbXXX.dll are checked.

Never had any Problems at all with Smartcheck :(

They are all checked - thats whats driving me mad !!!

And you're right thats its not 'bad' version of MSVBSM60.DLL (for instance) - I've tried

6.0.82.64
6.0.96.90
6.0.92.37

Its driving me up the wall:wall:

Thanks for trying anyway Ray.
