I think it would be nice if the challenge creator can access the discussion thread about his chall no matter if he has solved it or not? So some users (who are retired / too lazy to enter the solution / don't want to steal the first place / don't care about the ranking) can still read feedbacks about their challs?

Yeah I already implemented this a while ago, but for some reason the file was overwritten. I will reimplement it tonight or tomorrow.

I don't know how it got overwritten. The question is just if this is really necessary.
Challenge creators who don't care about the ranking just need to deactivate the "want to compete"-feature when it's there.
