I am 17
and started to try and get some of the Challenges done i have done about 6 of them
and now i an stuck i check the "Tutorials" but there isnt a tutorial to get one started and show all
the paths like one that has the baic of all the cracking , java scripts , php ...
plz point me 2 some were to start and get more of the chall. done plz

some of them but dont under stand some of the tearms and want to get down to the start
like the java that was easy 2 start whit but cant "do the Hash thing" dont know what 2 do
then i tryed the explioting 2 hard cant find tutorial 2 help the one i got is not helping to lean
only saying tips and cant find the correct info @ google
So if there is any starter stuff i can learn like how it works i started 2 find java tutorials and that helped
but where do i find "Crack it" tutorials or "expl.."

it explains thte basics and what you should look for and also some tools that may help. As for exploiting, it is covered in a wide range of tutorials, depending on what type of exploit you need.

Don't expect challenges to be easy. Seems like some new users think that they can solve the challenges in seconds, if they read some material on howto do it. It is not the case. You need pretty much knowledge about lots of things. Mainly programming helps a good deal since you "know the tricks".. and everybody knows programming can't be learned until you extensively tried to program something yourself.

For example, if you want to be able to do the crack-its challenges, you need to have common knowledge about your cpu and how it works. Also you need to have the right tools and maybe have to look up some information on the file format. If you have all that, you just have the basic setup of having a go at such challenge. Next thing you need, which takes the most time, is understanding assembly, how it works, what it does, etc. etc. You need lots of trial and error for this to correct your mind and make it "your own".

This is almost the case in all the challenges, although some can be solved by simply using google or a program. The javascript (note, javaSCRIPT, not java) challenges are a good start, since they have exposed source and are fairly easy to interpret. The problem you will run into when you DO have the necessary knowledge is that you simply don't understand the algorithm. This is precisely the heart of the challenge. If you have the necessary knowledge, got the right tools and understand the algorithm, you have what it takes to solve it.

If you are new to all this, you have a long way to go, I suggest trying to learn any programming language and see if you still like to play. The less you know, the more time it takes to get used to all and build your own knowledge base.

Hopefully you will understand that it's not just this site which can help you, you need a good foundation to start from. As I said, programming is probably one of these foundation stones. Also i think if you really want to have a go, you will have to figure out yourself what you need to know. It's the same as solving a sudoku and giving all the hints about checking rows, columns, blocks, etc.

Good luck with your discovery and try to see the site as a learning place and not a battle field where you have to solve all the challenges to win €1.000.000.

Gome is right, buddy. you can't expect to get everything you need to solve a chall from a tutorial - a tutorial is meant to be an introduction, from there you have to work on your own. tuts usually got very limited info. so even if a tutorial would make you get the chall point, you probably still wouldn't have understood the substance, i.e. what the chall is actually about. i mean it's up to you, but i think most of us are doing it for fun and, basically, knowledge.
my suggestion would be, buddy: go to the library, grab some books on what you're intrested in, read them, get really familiar with the content, i mean REALLY familiar, try to use/apply your new knowledge, by programming and what not, then grab some new books etc.
and ask yourself why you are actually doing this. what your motivation is and how much time you are ready to spent on this whole shit.
