Hey there guys (and/or gals). I've been trawling the net for a few days now trying to find out whether there's a way of programmatically retreiving the ATIP data from a written CD. I know you don't need a burner to do this because as a primitive form of copy protection, games used to check that a cd doesn't have any ATIP data. (afaik, silver, original CDs don't have any ATIP data). I also know it can be done without installing an ASPI layer as ImgBurn retreives it successfully without havinf ASPI installed. Essentially i'm looking to extract the manufacturer ID from discs (ie MBI 01RG40 etc). Can anyone help me please. I need (if it's an application) for it to be 1-free and 2-command line driven and that 3-it doesn't need to be installed Ideally i'd like VB code that does it. any other code that does the job would also work, but i'm lazy and a bit pressed for time on this. (Does ImgBurn have a command line utility that'll just display the disc's info? i can't find any indication that it does.) |

i've already looked at that. sadly i can't get the dll to work in vb, and they actually say that on the thread. maybe it's simply not possible, but i refuse to believe that. |
