Quote: I see you as a valuable asset of this community, well... I once did ... This is an example of mild flaming in a non aggressive way: Rhican, a lot of you're posts are stated in a VERY aggressive manner. I see no reason why this is necessary. Maybe you use this tactic to fortify your arguments, but you certainly do NOT gain a grain of respect with it. I replied on topic, using some of my history to demonstrate. You made it about me. And my style. There is no way you can twist that. And you do blame the rest if you say "despite the admins and contributers", it's either the rest or nobody at all (in the latter case this thread is entirely pointless). Don't weezel out of it by not saying who or what are "contributers" I believe a large part of the problem is the "contributers". I hate nagging threads like this. blacksheep has been in a power vacuum for a long time. The internet is Democratizing, this is a good thing. The downside is that it brings new challenges. More and more people use the internet in a more casual way, at younger ages. We have to find a way to manage that. This is not by closing down, for a few oldtimers. Really you sound like people yelling "the good old days were better" They weren't, they were different. I reply to PM's that ask obvious questions, that I am quite sick to be asked again. But That's all part of it. We were once ignorant too. If this really is "such" a big problem in the current way then those contributers should come up with a way to fix that. Doing anything is better than letting the fora fill up with crap like this. Then you should just close blacksheep down and keep the memory alive. |

Quote from yapi: to chine .. I was asking for a hint not an answer .. you should talk to me first ..get a doctor hmmm yes, a hint about a challenge which has a one short formula as solution... hard to believe. But even if that was your intention, I got the pm 3 minutes later I logged in. This sounds to me that you are one of those guys who carefully open every logged user's page and check if they have made the challenge you're interested to. Also, why should have I talked to you first if there was nothing to hide? cheers |

If you want the newcommers to stfu, when they get on the site, then who is exactly the problem. Feel free to PM me, I'll decide what and to whom i'll answer. What is it again they say about stupid questions? This site is about exploring knowledge, and computers. If you only want to allow engineers access, I'm afraid the community will kinda cumble. |

As Bara has proven is quite pointless to talk to you as you're always right, but the problem is not about becoming an engineers community. The problem is that you can ask for help in many different ways, like "hey, I got this far, am I on the right track?" or "hey, I have done this and that, tried this and that, can you give me a little hint to make another step?" not just "Hi, how did you get that logic 17?", because my answer would be "thinking!" I guess. And when you're trying to solve a challenge you think, try out some stuff, approach the problem in different ways, not just wait for someone to log on and ask him. That's not a way to solve problems, that's the way to make other people solve them for you. Anyway, I don't have any interest in a forum fight so don't bother answering... Point is: you don't learn without effort and sometimes this means to think hard for more than just 3 minutes. cheers |

Bara has not proven anything, and you have no business telling me what to do *removed foul language towards user* If it's about the how, I can assure you it has been the same for ages. You don't reply to those doing it wrong, or you teach them. Naging does not fall into the equation. and it is counter productive If i'm always right, perhaps that's because you don't give any arguments that stand scrutiny. You started nagging, you twisted it about me, you are saying you can't argue with me. Yet you still do. And now you say what i can't do? No offence, but being considered a contributer does not appear to be all it cracked up to be. Again you are twisting this, and ignoring all the arguments I give, which is quite sad. And since you say you don't want to turn this in a forum fight, perhaps YOU should not bother replying. People who focus too much on the how, generally loose focus of the goal. The goal by no means is what has been put forward in this thread. It certainly is not nagging a forum full with the good old days. Because really they quite the same, you are just changing. ps: "bara has proven that" is like saying "you must be stupid not to know that" which is the sure sign of weakness in an arguement I have always protested his arguments and he has had to aknowledge that some claims were false. ps2: Bara posted this to get opinions, don't be angry when you get honest opinions. |

The only problem with the community is threads like this. And not enough interesting threads. the admins, and users with the answers must regulate and envorce the policy. They do not need to led it all go wild. And than say that the quality degrades since people ask for answers. I even doubt there is a community to speak of, because of all the distance you seem to put between the few good guys, and the vast amount of baddies. If i have to choose which crowd to continue with... |

There was nothing wrong until the very moment I started this thread, I singlehandedly started the downfall of this wannabee 'community'. "The bank is not robbed until the newspapers publish it!" Have a nice one. BaRa PS: Also thanks for proving that it is impossible to talk to you. |

thanks for twisting my words so obviously there was an AND at the end of that phrase that you clearly left out. It's a simple truth that this thread is useless, and that instead of naging something should be undertaken. I have not denied that there is something different. Instead I defended the fact that it was aging, and that there are new challenges for internet communities in this myspace age. I objected to the term degrading. And i objected to the blaim game. which were played. If not by bara clearly by others. calling me impossible for stating this obvious fact, is you right. feel free to feel better than me. Who is impossible? when you don't like it you either said "stop making it about you" or "wrong topic". @inferno i used the word arse before in this thread, you might want to consistently censor it. |

@ rhican: Difference was that the first usage of the word 'arse' wasn't insulting anyone. However, the 2nd one was. That's why I censored it, but I'm sure you're capable of figuring out that on your own And yes, of course you can bring up the fact that I posted "foul language", and that therefor it should be removed from your other post as well, but since you removed my other comment from your post, I cannot really prove that. On a sidenote, I don't really care for foul language as long as it's not insulting anyone personally. Kind regards, Inferno |
