haha, if you think you can prove anything you are severely delusional This thread is not about proving, it's about teaching. btw you already said you were gone ,-) it's funny the more you call me an idiot, the more you prove i'm not You think you have won, because you have a companion? who is equally ignorant? I take pride in the fact that no one deems it necessary to jump in to help "defend" me. Just indicates how much I don't need it. People know I can take all the insults, however cheap they are. I'm not that insecure "On my worst day, I still outsmart you lot on your best day." -- Judge Judy |

Hi Rican! I'll allow that you are not an idiot, but you are surely a fool. I tried to offer constructive criticism, even if it may have been a little harsh. Be honored, I recieved criticism like this when I was a freshman, and now I look back appreciatively on the feedback. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have figured out why I called you a "da/dt". For the benefit of other, this expression denotes the time derivative of acceleration also known as jerk. By the way, that was quite a finding big man: An exploit in a non-maintained website which was written for fun and contains nothing of real value. Jello Biafra got it right in the song Nazi Punk Fuck Off when he sang "Trash a bank if got real balls"! Your pal, Ken |

Not too bright, are you? That's OK The song is about idiot punks who used Nazi symbols for their shock value, not Nazis. I was comparing you to a group of sociopath, but I shouldn't have expected you to capable of understanding subtleties, should I? For what it's worth, I stand by the comparison - defending sociopathic behavior is no way to win friends and influence people. In the song, Jello taunts the followers he despises with the challenge, "trash a bank...". He was trying to get them to understand that pissing in their playground doesn't make them tough, and mockingly suggested an alternative action that could prove real skills, but would more likely just prove the inadequacy of the punks. So "hack a bank if you got real balls". Get it? More generally, the song advised the sociopaths to wise up, lest they taken down by the very people they were trying to impress. Sound familiar? |

Quote: It has, over time, become the closest thing to an impartial moderator that Usenet can get. Quote: o If someone brings up Nazis in general conversation when it wasn't necessary or germane without it necessarily being an insult, it's probably about time for the thread to end. o If someone brings up Nazis in general conversation when it was vaguely related but is basically being used as an insult, the speaker can be considered to be flaming and not debating. Quote: Godwin's Law /prov./ [Usenet] "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. Godwin's Law thus practically guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length in those groups. Quote: The rule does not make any statement whether any particular reference or comparison to Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate Quote: More precisely, the subsequent value of the thread is zero. It may be continued anyway - some people will put great effort into explaining why the analogy between Nazis and whatever is annoying them is, on this occasion, fully justified and illuminating. And other people will patiently explain why it isn't and why such comparisons are demeaning to those involved in either event. Quote: Usenet There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. |
