it seems like copying files now is no problem. But moving doesn't work. So I can simulate a move with copying a file and deleting it in the source folder. But I still don't understand why it does not work to move a file directly.

change filesystem to fat32 and run yur favourite linux distro
high belief in it working
high doubt that running some knoppix (or suse)distro will work because the knoppix file system exists on the cd that it boots from and linux already has a hard enough time working with NTFS just like everything else in the world

Any Linux system and is quite favorable but come on and lets face the facts, people *and by people i mean us* are used to working with the windows interface and i dont believe that any of us would like to get into that point at which we are obliged to sabotage to learn ...... windows will have to do for now but hey i agree with linux being better and l337 though i prefer FreeBSD.

freebsd is good for servers but overkill for home pc's

Some some, i believe in the self interest and that we all should dump MS and use something which is open source realted =).
