Reply #41 ;) :

I came across a link a few months back, but you see, I don't usually use webshots. :) And here I am taking a break from my ever-irritating revision procedures, so I thought I'd check out a few links in my bookmarks and post an interesting one here ;)

There are certain pictures on linkwebshots.com that require a premium user authentication for you to retrieve (the full sized image). Thing is, you don't really need a premium account. linkThis site provides you with the service of "ripping" the premium image out. I'm not exactly sure how they managed to do it, but I suspect it's again a weakness in the framework of the site, i.e. the common standard format they name their files or something. They page uses XMLHTTP to create the request, which seems like a normal request of the exact site you visit, but somehow... Well I'll leave it to you guys to look at it :)

Edit: About the site, I'm referring to premium images, not normal images. :)
Proxomitron might do the trick too, seeing how XMLHTTP does it ;) (DigitalAcid)

so much for the commotion on soft-hyphens ;) thanks for the entertainment :D

anyway, this isn't really a hack, but more of an interesting phenomenon of "copy and paste".
if you play most file formats on a media player (wmplayer, winamp etc), you can do a ctrl+c (copy) and in mspaint, ctrl+v (paste) and you can see the movie actually playing in paint. ^^

Ok well im going to tell you about a little windows hack. Its for the game "pinball" so start a new game, when at new game type "hidden test" (without quotes) then hold the left click button and move your mouse, you will notice the ball moving as you move your mouse keeping the left click button down. Pretty useless but its something to show your mates.
