Wow, this sites has grow a lot while I wasn't here ... i'm happy to see that
I want to add my 5 cents and make some suggestions about the forum:

1.- the forum can be ordered backward so you can read the lastest post first
2.- the "mark as read" can be better, like check the one you want the "mark as read" or have some more options like "mark as read - solution thread" and "mark as read - questions and hint of post that you have done"
3.- maybe highlight the one where you have posted or the ones that your created
4.- you have that system that make the users to see just the "solutions afterwards" threads that he's able to, maybe add some options to when you create a thread , where can be set up who is able to see it. I mean "just who has solve javascript 1" or "just who has solve crypto 1 and special 2"
5.- the "discussion afterward" can be read without solving the challs, just the title... its nothing but ...

Well, those are my ideas... what do you think? let me know if I can help
