Hi. The title pretty much says it all. I've heard it mentioned a few times on this site about the IRC channel some of you use. I just wondered what client you guys use and why?. Thanks for taking time to read this, T.Soul >Edit/ My OS is WinXP (just in case it matters lol) |

I use Xchat. It has all the features I need and is released for free under the GPL licence. A lot of people use mIRC, but I'm not fond of the interface and it's MS windows only anyway (last time I looked) ... Cheers |

I use Opera I almost do everything with it: mail, irc, newsgroups, addressbook and browsing of course I'm just missing a feature for chatting via icq, msn or aim That would be great, one program for everything |

their are plenty of clients but the one you want is XCHAT basicly because it's fully featured and free as in freedom. Like mentioned above it's opensource software and you can download the source code, alter, distribute it. The one thing the XCHAT development team does not do is build it for windows. however don't worry some good samaritans out their build xchat for windows for you. http://www.silverex.org/ several others probably deserve mentioning IRSSI, mirc (popular shareware crap), ... |
