I've looked around but couldn't find any information on how user ranks are calculated. I've noticed that some people are ranked higher than others, despite the completion of less challenges. Could anybody give me a brief explanation? Thanks in advance. |

afaik people are ranked solely on their challenge count. however there have been a few database inconsistencies, due to deleting challenges and the like. and additionally there is an option not to have yourself ranked at all. which is pretty annoying because you don't know who has solved more challenges ... but that's the way it is i'm afraid. |

Hi, it's true, basically the rank is given by the number of solved challenges. On ties the user who first solved his last challenge is given the better rank. The problem is that now some challenges don't count for the ranking (dev/null...). I will have to change quite a bit to get this working properly. Till now I had no time to do this and I can't tell yet when I will have. Cu, Erik |
