Interesting site although I don't understand the unit on the "pageview"-axis. Percent of what? To the peak in 2006: http://bright-shadows.net/news.php?page=6 "Today I've uploaded a couple of challenges: ..." greets, theAnswer |

Did you know that you can use 0x48454c4c4f in mysql queries and that it can be compared against strings. For example in select * from users where username=0x48454c4c4f it will only sellect the tupples with username 'hello', this way you avoid using quotes, and it's shorter than using the char function. As an added bonus you don't need to use "(" characters which could be filtered as well. However most situations would still use the "(" later, but anyway. In a few situations this can circumvent filters, imho mainly length limitations. I don't think this property is ever exploited in the challenges here. It is mentioned in at least one of the docs linked through the tutorial section. But as many of you wont get round to reading all those I thought i'd mention it here |

Did you know putting this url as your frontpage http://www.google.com/intl/xx-hacker/ will probably make you feel much more at home. Well you probably did, but actually google has a lot of neat stuff, that most people just don't pay that much attention to, due to google's trademark clean homepage. Interesting stuff offcourse include labs.google.com code.google.com http://www.google.com/codesearch http://research.google.com/video.html scholar.google.com ps: seriously if you are a coder checkout the codesearch, it's instantaneously browsable sourcecode from opensource projects. for example if you want to know how the passthru function should be used in php type: "passthru php". It beats php.net's response time. Or how to use "next_permutation cpp" what do you think. what's your favorite google service |

Did you know that 10% of the Russian government money comes from the sale of Vodka? (At least I'm pretty sure it is the government.. it might just be the Russian country in general, either way thats a lot of money off of an alcoholic beverage) |

Quote from moose: Did you know that its false that a duck's quack has no echo? Actually it has, but it sounds that simmilar to the original one, that even good instruments have problems in dividing them True, it's been proven that it has an echo, people just won't let go of the myth.Did you know that red blood cells consist mainly of hemoglobin which contains heme groups, whose iron atoms temporarily link to oxygen molecules in the lungs or gills and release them throughout the body. Some people are born with a deficiency of heme groups in their blood, which causes symptoms such as: receded gums causing fangs, sensitivity to light, and sudden hair growth. In people without the deficiency, garlic promotes the creation of heme, which is good for the body. The opposite is true for people with the deficiency however, in that garlic is harmful to their health. This is likely the root to myths that garlic repels vampires and werewolves. EDIT: Since I'm sure somebody will bring it up, the extent of my biology knowledge is about grade 10 general science, and that was about 3 years ago, so there are likely some mistakes in there. |
