just thought it'd be nice if you could have the titlebar update with a simple number when you have new PMs. something like [1] TheBlacksheep at www.bright-shadows.n... (as is the standard with most social networking sites) this would be very helpful if you have it open in a tab whilst you do something else. |

They DO care about this site. Imho if they wouldn't I think the site wouldn't be here anymore. You can program your own PM alerter with this: http://www.bright-shadows.net/userdata.php Which returns the following information: USER:RANK:TOTAL USERS:CHALLS_SOLVED:TOTAL_CHALLS:UNREAD_NEWS:UNREAD_FORUM:UNREAD_PM That is pretty cool and is really useful! |

@DA - you seem to miss the point. if you write a little "app" that does the checking - like a php script back in the day that let you add a picture as a signiature - then you can use the "username=[x]" to get your data even if you weren't logged in (as would normally be the case with the servers the script runs on). ah, i miss having bright shadows with pictures... |

just because i still want this idea to be implemented. *bump* EDIT: and maybe even give you the option of getting the pm mailed to your actual email address. |
