I compiled the library and linked towith my program to convert *.fax or *.tif into *.gif
So my knowledge about this is not very deep.

For this you have to know how to call a dll.
Special th parameterpassing between your Language and the library
For win maybe you can make a wraper around the library like a COM-Component.
If ther is nothing in the net you must start a C-Compiler

But they have provided APIs right? like using JDBC with java for connectivity to a database.... i think
