i know your problem but there is no "noob" site. only read as much about the topic you can get. for example for the javascript read some tutorials about javascript. or for the stegano you should know that are messages hidden in the pictures.

but most important is (i think) some crypto. maybe some number systems like hex or binaer can help you and also things like substitution and xor.

and last but no least logic.

funny...gets in the way of my schoolwork too. i am getting good grades in everything except for math i love math so much too - imo its the concepts that make the numbers work that are important, moreso than the numbers.

the first set of javascript challenges are straight forward sort of ... if you can write it you can read it...

go search javascript and run through thaus tutorials ... they helped me alot ...
