I downloaded mIRC so i can chat with you at this irc channel (bad uhm? )
My Problem is: I cannot find this irc.topgamers.net channel....where i must type in this channel???? I'm new to IRC, so can someone give me a link or sth. to a guide for IRC????

connect to the server : irc.topgamers.net.

Then join the channel: #theblacksheep

These are the commands you type :

/server irc.topgamers.net
/join #theblacksheep

If you want to register your nickname (which is what I recomend). Type these commands (without the < and >) :

/nick <put your nick here>
/nickserv register <a password here> <your email>

Then whenever you log in type:

/nickserv identify <your password>

This prevents other people from masquarading as you.

At the bottem of the screen. There is a one line text box. Just type them there.

I've got this problem:
--- Looking up irc.topgamers.net..
--- Connecting to irc.topgamers.net (216.179.62.162) port 6667..
--- Connection failed. Error: Connection timed out
It NEVER wants to connect to the server. All my settings are good and I'm pretty sure there's nothing that I'm missing. Any suggestions?

The channel was changed and is now #tbs...
/join #tbs
and you only have to do this line once: /nickserv register <a password here> <your email>
the rest you need to do every time you login....

Both channel names redirects to the same channel, are links you can use #tbs or #theblacksheep but his problem is that he can't connect to the IRC network, really strange

Do you have a router?
Do you have a firewall?
Do you have something like the above?
