kopete (multi-protocol-IM) comes with an irc client Kirc(kde product), but for some reason can't get it to connect to a network, i can join a channel, but i am the only one in it, oh and i have to be selective with what i install with this particular flavor of linux, it likes rpm's and/or deb's, so yeah i'll figger something ..
