There are so many little widgets and buttons here I may well be missing something but...
Not all the new posts display in the indicator on the left or in the New Topics box. I realise it says new topics but sub posts display for most topics.
For example I am watching the CONTACT forum but I have to actually go to the forum to check for new posts.
I considered it was threads I had posted in, as my own posts dont trigger the flag and wondered if it was being reset properly afterwards?
However this morning I did see inferno's post in the crackit forum which I started so perhaps its not that.

Maybe I am missing a gadget or and option?

the point is that this stuff doesn't work correctly. Somehow posts from challenge-forums aren't always set as new. I have to look at that. On the other hand the list displays only new posts in the folder you are currently viewing. And if you yourself write a new post it does not set it as a new one for you because that would be quite silly.
Maybe I'll have the time to take a look at that during the holidays.

now it should work. I found an error in the script marking topics as new. Topics from the usual challenge-discussion forum (Questions/Hints) never got "green" and displayed as new. Now it seems to work.

Well I got 14 new this morning and one of those is in contact so I guess you did it.
