i know this hasnt to do with the hackits but i thought most people would check here so it would prob be noticed easy..
my question is this..i have a textfile with and encoded text in it..i want to decode it...do u use a special prog for that or what?if yes,any recommendations..it isnt said what encodement it is..only that it is a popular one..

if its popular only post the text here and we can learn something. i think we can find how its encrypted and then only get or write a program.

but id like to atleast try to decode it myself...so if u could give me some hints before showing the answer pls

well i won't tell u what's the encription... but instead i'll tell ya it is a UNIX zip file ... try looking on google on programs that unzip that file in windowz mode...

-tell us the site and what challenge it is
-don't post solutions
-try to find out the solution on your own. if you have already done that but you have no idea then you can ask

i had no problem in decoding that stuff... well the output it's a normal zip file that contains a txt file which has a password and URL 4 the login at modx... ofcourse after the login u can change ur pass...

i didnt mean for u to decode it for me..just that erik asked for it..i just wondered if anyone could help me HOW to decode it ..so,u mean i should look for a unix unziper for windows?
