You do not need an ebook to learn PHP
If you really want to learn PHP and you have some basic programming knowledge, then just go find a nice project where you can build a dynamic website.
Practising is the best method to learn PHP. Use www.php.net as reference guide and everything will be fine.

Yea, do what Gome said. Find a place where you can practice, and just start coding a website, even if you don't know what your doing. You will begin to pick up on yoru knowledge slowly, and be able to do more and more. When I was first starting out, I set up a server on my computer so I could test things without having to upload them to a host and all that. It was much easier.


http://php.net does come in handy when you need to know something. Another good site that would help you might be phpfreaks.com
