I want to know if you would prefer a ranking system based on points. So that each challenge is worth a certain amount of points, and the points of all challenges you solved are added up to each users score. My idea is not to set the points for a challenge to a certain value. I would suggest to make the points dependent from the relation between the users who solved a challenge and the total number of users. In my opinion, this would result in a much more realistic rank because your ranking would be based on the real hardness of the challenges.

@caesum: erik does not know hackquest. so it was luck that he had this idea.

I think it is a good idea though, it works on hackquest ok although their main rank screen has everyone at the top=solved all challenges and they have a lot of users now so you dont really see the effect of it, and lower down the differences aren't as noticeable........ i think you have to take a look at their ranking to see what i mean

well with excahange rates and all, we DO know that some ppls 2cents are worth more than others
