Hi people, i am wondering what instant messenger you people think its better than MSN messenger.
I mean " better" in the way, more security, more funcionalities.
I have already tested a few,
IM Miranda, the GUI is horrible, kinda ugly, no winks, and i didn't liked much of the "smilies"

Gaim , its kinda prety and easy to work with, is problem besides the " winks" is that eats alot of ram

atm i am testing Qnext IM messenger, i saw it in

i know that " winks" are from msn messenger.

On my comp Gaim works fine and eats less RAM than YIM/MSN/AIM. The bad thing is that you can't send files/view webcam if your friend uses a different version ><

As i told to you none is totality secured but kopete works fine you have to have cygwin installed in order to compile it for windows, but all of them have the same problem with the execution of remote code i think this problem has to do with the server but i will check it later when i have more time now i ve to finish my macrodie operating system when i finishe it i will see that... regards -=rayden=-

I'm using Beeblebrox (with avatar) at the moment (I admit it, I'm an ex-trillian fan)
I admit miranda is a pain in the ... eye... to configure, but it I assure you it is worth it.
After this all you got yourself a slick instant messenger client.

OR you could just use trillian....

If you use a jabber server with transport, you might want to check pandion im client (jabber only). Very light, only basic features ... so if you like simpleand yet user friendly software, it is fou you.

I think you would like Yahoo instant messenger, it has more security and more functionalities. It is my favorite.
