I like most of the changes, and I like changes, just because they are different. (noticed the small color changes, like it) However I'm not too fond about the /dev/null category, or at least not the way it's implemented right now The challenges were removed for a reason .. I suggest: - These do not create an extra smiley - These challenges do not increase the challenge count in upper right (i'm pretty sure they do, but could be wrong) - These challenges do not increase your rank Quote: linux # stat /dev/null File: `/dev/null' Size: 0 Blocks: 0 IO Block: 4096 character special file This illustrates the following - /dev/null takes up no size, and impact should be minimal - /dev/null is special, not just more of the same. my personal opinion. I had solved 7 out of 16. I just feel that the sheer amount of challenges is a bit of a hurdle. In the current form, i would consider ~/.trash a suitable name, or for the windows people c:\Recycler |

is it just me or does the /dev/null smiley on the main challenge selection page look stoned? However I agree with Rhican that these should not go towards the challenge count. How about making it so that for every 20 challenges a user completes they 'unlock' one of these ones. Like a kind of reward I've not done the math so maybe 20 isnt accurate but its just an idea nighthound/sabretooth |

Thanks for you feedback rhican, Quote from rhican: However I'm not too fond about the /dev/null category, or at least not the way it's implemented right now The challenges were removed for a reason .. The plan is to put them on a seperate page completely,, so entirely unrelated to the current challenge list. But I've put them back online for the people who've been asking "hey, how did that challenge work". So I do hope all of you understand that this is just on temporary basis. Should've been more clear on that. Kind regards, Inferno |

"there is nothing as permanent as the temporary" but alright good to hear you are all working on it, i could also suggest not having a done/not done status flag and having the discussion afterwards forum available to everyone |

Maybe change 1: Only an easy text crypto. into 1: Only an easy text crypto. - [Why was this challenge deleted?] Or something like that. The link would return a page where would be stated what was wrong with the challenge and a tutorial on how to solve the challenge could be provided. BaRa |

Agreed, its a good idea. Maybe dont do it for egypt-crypt then, cause there is a chall that is very similar to it. I wonder what happened to the "Info-Gathering - Rankig History" challenge. I really enjoyed that one. |
