Hi, do you know a good PHP Templating software with a MIT-compatible license? I know smarty, but I don't like it. I think it's too big (108 files, 689.5 KB for version 3.0.8 - well, much less files than I thought. I used it many years ago and I think it were over 1.000 files) I've just found solar, but it's even bigger (1229 files, 4.0 MB for version 1.1.2). I could not find the licence. I've found Vemplator yesterday and it seems to fit my needs (I can assign variables, loop through arrays, make comparisons and use PHP functions like isset() in the template). It's also very small (1 file, 6.6 kB ). What do you think about it? Do you know which templating-system big php web projects (MediaWiki, phpBB, WordPress, ...) use? Did they create new templating systems from scratch? Which templating system uses bright-shadows? |
