Okay, so my Dad's company is losing lots of internet customers because of another site. When you search his company, Gosport Boat Yard, the first result is for a rival boat yard in Portsmouth, Trafalgar Wharf, with the title "Gosport Boat Yard - Best Value Boatyard in Gosport" What I want to do is hack Trafalgar Wharf so that the title is not Gosport Boat Yard, but something else. How do I do this? Regards, Jordan |

if you really HAVE to resort to crime may i suggest a persistent xss redirect... ...however, researching SEO would probably benefit your dad's company greatly. start [here] also, forum rules explain that what you just did is strictly forbidden. we do not solicit web hacking on this site. this is a security research place at best. |

wasn't there a topic about a year ago saying the website needs more moderators and/or admins. If I'm not mistaken, this website was launched in 2003, when erik and theblacksheep were 17. since then, Inferno has been added as an admin, but all three of them have left high school and college and are now working full time, maybe having a family too. As the website still has a lot of activity going on, I really think it would be a good idea to elect a new admin and like 3-4 new moderators. this way, newly submitted challenges would have chances of being added and spamming of illegal stuff would be eradicated. I know this is no simple task because the new admin has to demonstrate the will to do it, the talent to do it and the trustworthiness to do it, but I really think if you guys (current admins) are ready to put about a week coming here every day, first posting the job offer, then filtering the candidates, it could be done and it would be a lot off your shoulders... -Baubbi- |

i think the thread you were thinking of suggestested an automated "moderator" ranking. this would be fun. the only problem is that the forum was custom coded (from the ground up i imagine) so it'll be a hell of a lot of work making a change that big... |

@aceldama: I'm not sure if it would be much work. But at the moment, the admins are the only ones who could possibly do it. Making bright-shadows.net open source would give others the possibility to add this functionality. |

@moose - making it open source would also open it up to possible exploitation. as much fun as that would be, when i wrote a chall, erik wouldn't even give me a sample chall in case i wanted to sploit it. |
