umm well if you guys do go down again,
i hope you have a database backup this time.
unlike the last time, where it was held by your last host
and many of us had to redo the levels.

if you need a host pm me or email

lol..
i know of one person who sets up his server and it got hacked 5 times over, and all data erased he makes backups everyday

Anyway, just a personal experience:
I own sgcpc.org
It's hosted on hostdime's Xeon server.
About a week or 2 ago, a hacker broke into the system and wiped out all the files (not just my site, but many others as well) and the backups.
One would think: hell how'd he manage to wipe out the backups as well?
Answer: the backup disks are stored on the same server.
Question: If a backup is stored on the same server, what type of backup is that?

we don't save the backup on the same server and of course we do backups more often than before. the reason was just that our old host closed from one second too another without any messages to the user.
